Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Pedram Language Academy website at pedramlanguageacademy.com and our tutoring services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services

Pedram Language Academy provides English language tutoring services, including but not limited to:

  • One-on-one English tutoring sessions (everyday English, CELPIP, and IELTS preparation).
  • Group English classes.
  • Digital study materials, worksheets, and mock tests.
  • Podcast content and blog articles for English learners.

3. Booking and Scheduling

  • Sessions are booked through our scheduling system (Calendly) and are subject to tutor availability.
  • All sessions are conducted online via Google Meet.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a working microphone and camera for video sessions.
  • Session times are displayed in Pacific Time (PT) unless otherwise noted.

4. Payment Terms

  • All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
  • Payment is required before a session can be scheduled, unless a free trial session is offered.
  • Session packages do not expire.
  • We currently accept Interac e-Transfer and other payment methods as indicated during booking.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • By the student: Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations within 24 hours may forfeit the session.
  • By the tutor: If Pedram Language Academy needs to cancel a session, you will be offered a full rescheduling at no additional cost.
  • No-shows: If you do not attend a session within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time without prior notice, the session will be considered forfeited.

6. Refund Policy

  • Individual sessions: Refunds are available if cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the session.
  • Session packages: Unused sessions within a package may be refunded on a pro-rata basis. Contact us to request a refund.
  • Digital products: Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales of study materials, worksheets, and mock tests are final. No refunds will be issued for digital products once delivered.
  • Free trial sessions: No payment is required, so no refund applies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, worksheets, study guides, and software, is the property of Pedram Language Academy and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

  • You may use purchased materials for your personal, non-commercial study purposes only.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or share any materials purchased from or provided by Pedram Language Academy.
  • Blog and podcast content may be shared via link but may not be reproduced in full without written permission.

8. Student Conduct

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Treat the tutor and other students with respect.
  • Not record sessions without prior written consent.
  • Not use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language.
  • Not share your account credentials with others.

We reserve the right to terminate services to any student who violates these conduct guidelines.

9. Limitation of Liability

Pedram Language Academy provides tutoring and educational content to the best of our ability. However, we do not guarantee specific test scores, exam results, or learning outcomes. Results depend on individual effort, practice, and other factors beyond our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pedram Language Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
